| And yet, xenogears is by far, a much more enjoyable game all round. Or at least i bothered to finish it something despite all the ridiculous amount of bullshit i had wade through. See, xenogears had at least a credible hero, instead of walking tentacle porn actresses, robots that had some form of meaning. (anima, animus thingamajig, who could keep up with the pseudo-mystical religious references.) and a combat system, though while unpolished, was somehow engaging for it's time.
Xenosaga has none of this. I'll fully admit to not liking xenosaga because i don't understand the story. I can't understand something that isn't there. Everything else seems like a half-hearted effort to give it's sex symbols characters something to do while they all act cutesy, kiddy and give the average Japanese (and a fair number of overweight Americans) hard ons. I give up. I don't care. I'm going to play bloodmoon, be a werewolf, and enjoy myself. |
