Well I've always maintained that GHWB was a big fuckin pussy for not finishing the job. Its funny, because now he is rewriting history (as people are want to do) to justify why he didnt clear Saddam out back in Desert Storm, part 1. The truth of the matter is that himself and the CIA vowed to Saddam's enemies that they would get military support and aid from the USA, and after he blew his 3 inch load getting getting Saddam out of Kuwait, he ran off like a scared 14 year old.

He's trying to say that people were complaining that we were there, we couldnt have done it, etc., but the truth is he didnt want to get his hands dirty doing actual work beyond what he was schilling for Big Oil for. Then after we left, Saddam knew who all his enemies were, and brought the hammer down big time; then it was right back to the 'hide and seek' with the gutless UN.

Even though I really dont like GWB, I have to admire the guy. He is pretty much the only person who would have gone all the way on this, not caring what anyone else thought, and getting Saddam out. Gore probably would have followed the UN's bullshit, but then again the UN may have given its approval to someone other than Bush. At any rate, I dont believe the UN has the guts to issue the overthrow of a government, since half of them are military dictatorships anyway. If you make a precedent for going after civil rights abusers, it could be used against them. So half the UN just argues to maintain the status quo.

Also, another reason GWB is better than his dad is he has the guts to follow thru, and not change his mind once things start going well. Sure, he is not a bright guy, but that works in his favor. If you can only think of one thing to do, you dont get confused by all the choices. If you are too stubborn to listen to other people, you pick what you feel is best and go with it to the end. Its kind of like a dictatorship, but listening to a single person has the benefit of efficiency.

However, there are a great deal of things I dont like about him, and while I can respect the fellow, I still wont vote for him.
