I am not actually a platform zealot. If I were, I wouldn't be considering switching to Mac. It was kind of like a joke or something. You must admit, though, that the pretty colors are really fucking gay. But since the G4 shit I'd be using is an attractive grey, we can put that aside.
The gaming thing isn't such a big concern, I suppose, since the last time I had the opportunity to play a video game was in January. But it seems like if I'm going to drop $2.5k on a computer I should be able to play GTA3 on it. And sadly, I wouldn't. But less videogames would probably be better for my life in the long run.
Bla bla bla. There are a bunch of valid points about the OS that you probably made that I won't be taking any time to follow up on, because really what we're talking about here is Krugmanesque QWERTY economics, and whether the current software climate is better on one platform or the other. I don't doubt that the Mac OS is better than Windows. But that isn't what I was asking about. Thanks for taking the time, though.
Actually my point is that Macs are not necessarily the better musician's box, they just aren't "gay". Once they certainly seemed to have the lionshare of digital musicians' desktop's, but that was a different time. Since I am not a musician I don't know and I am not inclined to pursue investigation. So I provided you some places to begin doing so for yourself.
They (platforms) are all only tools, sometimes people tend to look at them like fucking nations or tribes. Get whatever takes you furthest, laugh at anyone that tells you otherwise.
Also: Your a fag because you don't like Zeppelin or at least the Immigrant song. They are the only musicians 100% certified hetero, ball-sweat drips from the speakers. As men we should be embarassed since every song is about Plant wanting to fuck all the women we know, and knowing he probably could. AND WE WOULD HAVE BEEN POWERLESS TO STOP HIM. |
