ODD, BUTTKISSING by Jhoh Creexul 02/24/2003, 5:36pm PST http://gamespot.com/gamespot/filters/products/0,11114,519264,00.html To spare you from reading a total asskiss review of possibly one of the most pretentious things ever created by human beings (naturally it is Japanese), he gives it an 8.1 and then has almost nothing good to say about it other than it has good production values and a long story. Then he says that the exploration scenes are boring, the battle system is pretty plain (he finds a fancy and nice walking-on-eggshells way of saying "they renamed magic to ether") and the cutscenes are too long. The review reads like something that, missing a few key sentences, would be a 4.5 score game. This review seems pretty indicative of a wider conspiracy to embrace objectively bad things in the name of it being foriegn. At this point I've realized long ago that it's not just me.
