Alongside Avatar for proving that AMERICA* does anime better than the Japanese.
Cuts out the shitty animation techniques of anime. Cuts out all the "NANI?" "Soka..." dialog of anime. Characters say exactly as much as they need to. Fight scenes that never fall back on motion lines and other anime shit. With moves that SHOW the viewer why they work and are clever rather than some character drone on TELLING the viewer why they're clever.
The comic relief sidekick is as anime as the show gets, and is the show's only brief weakness (the brothel owner droning on comes a close second).
Don't waste your holidays on any more of that nip garbage. Instead, dip into some red, white, & Blue Eyed Samurai.
