Grabbed the following:
Shadow Warrior 2. Got good reviews.
Escape from Nazi Labs. Looks fun. I have no idea what "roguelike" means on Steam, and I have actually played Rogue and its siblings.
Chroma Squad. This seemed like squad-based pixel art tactics.
Serious Sam HD. The First Encounter. It was $1.49.
Super Mega Baseball: Extra Innings. This deserves a longer review, and is the one game I've actually spent more than 20 minutes with.
Donuts n' Justice. Might be a pixel art side scroller, might be pretty bad. Not sure just yet.
Zolg. I think this had vector art.
Mantis Burn Racing. Someone on another site had it as one of their top 10 games of the year. I ran one race and it was not particularly noteworthy. An aside: I brought out Excitebike for my nephew and he was enthralled. He is 9. I honestly feel there's still tons of lessons to be learned with NES games.
Ember. I think this is an Ultima-style game.
Axiom Verge. Can't remember, it was on my wishlist. Metroid / Castlevania-style, I think.
StarCrawlers. I heard that this is like Eye of the Beholder or Bard's Tale, but sci fi.
Pac-Man Championship Edition 2. Got this because Pinback liked it.
Butcher. I think it's a side scroller.
I took my "wishlist" down from over 100 games to 9 games by removing ones I'm never going to actually play, even if I get them. I've got some spending issues with Steam.
