So, yeah, about Star Citizen? by Oom Shnibble 01/18/2015, 12:37pm PST So I'm actually interested in this but I have no idea what to make of the absolutely bizarre monetization strategy. All I see is spaceships being sold for absolutely obscene amounts of real life money and talk of permadeath. What is the deal with the single player game? How much does that cost? How does it fit in with the bizarre MMO cash grab? How pissed do you think people are going to be when it turns out that in order to insure their $200 in-game space ship they will need to fork out $30.00 a month or spend 6 hours a day grinding out imaginary spacebux?
