Whose bright idea was it to take the narrative structure of Watchmen and instead of flashbacks to an interesting alternate U.S. history, we get a non-linear retelling of the same damn Superman origin story we've known by heart for 80 years? Better devote a full hour to that shit, and replace his foster father dying of old age with a save the cat moment.

We're going to include a "superhero first learns to use his powers" segment, but only for 30 seconds. Need to make room for more scenes of vagabond Clark Kent moping around like Bruce Banner on the Hulk TV show.
