Just less retarded than Star Trek (2009). Slacker is talked into enlisting by a navy officer after being arrested for fighting over a girl at a bar, is thrust into command after an advanced alien invasion leaves him with the only surviving ship. No jettisoning insubordinate officers to deadly planets instead of throwing them into the brig, no 2nd act climaxes involving yo mama jokes.
