I work at a TV news station; we have an up-and-coming producer who is beloved by almost everybody. The other day an anchor pointed out our scheduled guest expert on Ukraine was actually running for Congress, and had no credentials on Ukraine other than he taught 8th grade. She stonewalled and said she had already put the show together. The anchor came up with a contingency plan, and she demurred. He finally told her she wasn't doing her job and she finally cancelled the guest, and cried. Everyone understands the anchor was out of line and she has gotten nothing but reassurances from higher management that they care about her and want to keep her around. Maybe some discipline happened behind closed doors but I don't see any evidence of it. So, whatever they do, women can't do any wrong. I hear this goes for many parts of the law as well.
