Best-written moment: getting a rich and powerful general who's just killed dozens of people while saving his daughter from kidnappers (like in Taken, movie fans) to accept public responsibility for the collateral damage and in so doing minimize political fallout for the military and his fellow commanding officers when they rushed off to deal with it, all without the player coming off as a slimeball.
Worst-written moment: Forget the 'feed starving refugees GMO crops or let them starve' bit, it is hands down when the crazy lesbian who's been making crass remarks about her boss' wife being hot to said boss' face and how she wants all the women to herself right there in the command center of a beleaguered army she's leading through a civil war and all that asks the player to make a policy decision about gay public displays of affection after the fat money-grubbing dwarf complains about gay dwarves holding hands like there's not a hundred thousand dead from the war by then or genocide, starvation, religious strife, and mass rape and pillaging by marauding armies to worry about. |
