Here's where I figure you either didn't care because it was irrelevant to the game's level of fun by that point or didn't notice because it was irrelevant to your interests: the Castle Crashers poster advertised not a game but a team of luchadores, as did the Mario Brothers poster and all the other shit except the ones that tried to reinvent meme jokes. There was a thematic element that was this nerd chic vintage bullshit that was made to appeal to the intersection between twentysomething internet curmudgeons on remix culture sites and a slightly younger bunch of internet hipsters on social media sites, both of which have a good likelihood of having spanish as a second language - this seems like a vaguely interesting move by an indie developer to me, either because someone thinks those kids are potentially gonna be steering design decisions or because these developers are those kids now.
