Remember when Redletter Media said Generations was the worst thing ever (except for most virtually all of the rest of the Next Gen movies and especially the godawful Abramshit)? I wanted to mention awhile ago but didn't get around to it: do you know WHY they blew up the big awesome Enterprise D in Generations? Did anyone just shrug, like me, and assume that they were really intent on making a new ship and so came up with a really half-assed way to discard the old one?
Well it turns out it was just shitty, un-thought-out script-writing from start to finish. It had no point, no purpose, no sense at all. Drexfiles (sadly offline because of disputes with artists who thought he was trying to steal credit for their stuff) had a picture of a great big Galaxy class model with "USS Enterprise NCC 1701-E" stenciled on it. I saw that and thought, "HOLY SHIT".
I hope you're all as outraged as I am about this, even though those writers are dead now, or if they're not, maybe they will be really soon. |
