No one wants to spend the rest of a level limping around in their FPSes because they caught a bullet in the leg. No one has ever once said Street Fighter would be more fun if your punches started coming out slower after you'd been knocked in the head a few times. So who the hell wants to have to finish a race with a bum wheel just because they got shunted into a guardrail on the first corner? The answer is no one. No one wants to do that. This is why the next most requested feature in racing games, after realistic damage modeling, is always and invariably a fucking rewind button so you can undo the consequences of realistic damage modeling. |
