I would love to see how fucked-up MAME is at the moment and if the people running it finally acquiesced on the saving games thing.
However, that may have been a bright spot for ol Rev Stu there. The last few articles on his site have him stating that the C64 was a piece of shit compared to the Spectrum, and he's abandoned indie PC gaming (in favor of iOS gaming) because most PC games are in full-screen.
That being said, I started to understand how gameroom collectors phase out arcade games in favor of pinball tables. There is an LED kit for Funhouse that replaces all the lights in the game and -- I am quoting a guy on Youtube here -- "really makes the lights pop." His game certain does pop and watching this I'm like, "Fuck, well, I have to find and install this now."
