| I (stupidly) neglected to switch the cable account under my name to my roommates' when I moved out (actually it was morel like I called 3 times to have them send the switchover form and it never came). Months later I find out that the account is $200 past due. I tell them to cancel the account and they inform me that they can't cancel it until the outstanding balance is paid.
Motherfucker! Keep charging someone for an ongoing service they don't want and can't/won't pay for? I kept telling them to cancel it because I doubt my hipster roommates would cover it and there was no way in hell I was paying it. They tried to keep calling for a while until some class action suit made them discontinue that policy. |
