Verizon apparently has no usage cap for Internet by Tansin A. Darcos (TDARCOS) 04/15/2012, 1:37am PDT
Comcast cable got into some serious trouble because its so-called unlimited internet wasn't, and it was slamming people with disconnections and cut offs when they reached some unspecified limit on the amount of material downloaded.

It was as a result of this behavior that Comcast was required to announce its usage cap, which is 250 GB in any one billing cycle, which equates roughly to a calendar month. Go beyond this and you get a nastygram from them, and a second incident over some period means Comcast cancels your service for six months.

However, as bad as Verizon is in some respects for their service, they currently are not imposing usage caps. This primarily applies to their FIOS service because with a DSL connection of about 1Megabit/sec (about 125KBytes/sec), you couldn't even reach the example of Comcast's limit even if you ran a nailed connection at the full bandwidth all month. (Actually I was wrong; a 1MB/sec connection if run at full capacity could download 324 GB in 30 days. 125KBx3600x24x30)
