I find with the Elder Scrolls games you need to carefully balance main quests, side quests, and exploration to avoid full on burn-out. I am pretty impressed with the ramp-up of difficulty, though there has only been one quest that I have fully abandoned for now because I just couldn't deal with the enemies. That said, I'm level 17 now, and Trolls are really scary, so maybe I'm just shitty at the game.
Anyway, I'm the standard wizard/thief/warrior that I always play in these games, but am unsure if you can play it any other way. I'm not sure I'd be trucking along if I wasn't shooting enemies at a distance with my bow before they trundled over my frost glyph, only to be finished off with my home-made, enchanted, dwarven sword. I think if I was a pure spell caster I would have given up in rage a long time ago. |
