| - Hangs or crashes to desktop often, yes I'm using the latest (October 7) AMD drivers.
- You can't look in any direction when on a ladder. - Bombs have been removed from jets so the air war will now rarely affect the ground war. This is a bowing to all the people who had a strict idea of what Battlefield should be and said "I hate that the part I don't like has any influence on the part I do like". Of course the interplay of air and ground that was one of my favourite parts of Battlefield's bigger maps, and removing it makes it another step closer to CoD, along with the other twenty steps they've taken. I guess the jets are supposed to kill choppers, which kill tanks. Infantry, everyone on the map, kills jets as they laze across the sky. - Vehicle ability unlocks are horrible and RUIN jets. You have to unlock not only missiles but countermeasures! I kept getting locked-on and shot down and I didn't know why my flares weren't working. Turns out I don't have any because I am a beginner! What a fucking stupid idea to remove the defensive abilities from the people who need it most. I saw people trying to calm us haters down by saying "flares are only the second unlock, after stealth, which makes it harder to lock on". OK, but that also reminds me that the guy I'm dogfighting not only has missiles but his superior jet can also effortlessly evade all the SAMs better than me as I try merely to live another second, away from his missiles. I hope the Swedes at DICE were trying for a metaphor of income inequality with their Rich Get Richer scheme of unlocked jet abilities, because it certainly feels like I'm the urban single mom on food stamps of jet piloting when I often can't even get off the runway when someone with missiles is in the air. Hey, let's use some teamwork -- someone use a SAM to shoot down that plane (proposed regulations), oh nevermind, he's got flares (lobbyists). - They implemented my VEHICLE DISABLING like I asked for back in 2005. It's awesome, predicted, and I'm responsible for it. I love that even though I'm not making any points in jets, I can eject after I'm disabled and enjoy the rest of my life. The shooter gets 100 points for disabling, maybe a ribbon, and we're all happy. - Love the Battlelog launching. Continue to browse while it sorts all that server shit out for you in the background and then presents a GO TO GAME button. Click, playing. Fast, no loading wait, no intro wait, no logo movies wait. If all the party/friend/VOIP stuff works as promised at launch, I'll be a huge fan of the whole system. |
