As for ideal commie and ideal rightwing, China and Singapore are terrible benchmarks. Ideal communism wouldn't be corrupt and oppressive, just as ideal rightwing (libertarianism?!?!) wouldn't have so many rules as to make spitting in public illegal.
I wasn't addressing my "libertarian utopia"; I was responding to your challenge. Arguing exclusively in ideals when convenient (ie to dismiss real world examples that destroy the credibility of your ideology) is a waste of time. As communism has not been performed to the satisfaction of its Western 5th columnists yet, after more than a few tries, I think it is time that the inherent flaws of the belief system take the blame rather than simply finding new "misguided" despots to blame for its failure.
Aren't slaves something that should be available in a rightist totally open free market economy?
Of course, Singapore is a heavily (socially) regulated society. Your only constraint was economic, and I thought it (and especially Taiwan and Hong Kong) would suit the conventional stereotypes of what a "rightist" capitalist state would look like, with the "slaves" and all. To which we can add the obvious question of which extreme you would prefer, since you seemed to be drawing an equivalency between real world commie paradises and real world capitalist/rightist paradises. I even gave you the easy bye of Chile, which should have raised all sorts of hackles as it did at Qt3 once, just so I could point out that a rightist military junta (Pinochet) vs a leftist one (N Korea, etc) is preferable because overall capitalist economic growth is much more likely to result in (small l) liberalization and long term success.
