So long. Been so long. Was it 10 years ago already that we all used to post here? New ones to watch? Old ones that dropped off like me? I find myself with a lot of free time suddenly. Since I dropped I had two boys and divorced the bitch who birthed them. That is the first reason leading to the free time, second is the woman I was fucking around with, planning to move into her house and deal with the fact she loves her dog and I'm allergic, but her not actually leaping after 18 months leading to me to end it. She wasn't the reason I left. Negative: She wasn't as strong as she initially let on (both her and her husband work at the company I do - a major reason she cites for not leaping). At least I'll always have memories of reconning her house in the mornings before work for her husband to leave, then zipping in and getting some before work.
So driving home an hour ago for some reason I do not comprehend, Fincher's _The Game_ popped into my head. That started me on a meme that the movie never gets talked about and seems to be unappreciated. If you pay attention to the scenes where he takes the card personality test, the scenes during the game itself are a direct result, and all experiences lead to de-constructing Michael Douglas' ego thereby eradicating his antipatterns. This leads to catharsis. Beautiful movie. That led me to a thought that I wish others would share their high-esteemed and potentially under-appreciated favorites. This led me to the question of where - which led me to the fear that most forums would be mostly populated by fuckheads who can only stomach their celluloid if it's pre-digested pabulum. This led me wondering where the promised land filled with suggestions I would potentially respect. This led me back here.
Anyway - I have free time for the immediate future and felt like sharing. I'm hoping this pattern sticks.
