are you really comparing Geometry Wars to that awful game you forced upon us? by Worm 04/14/2011, 12:17pm PDT It really was the worst looking SHMUP I ever played. The graphics felt like a bunch of clip art pasted on top of one another in Microsoft paint and it was compounded by someone challenging us to it on the easiest difficulty with a shitty highscore because he thought we were idiot babies. Geometry Wars loses a lot of appeal if you shut off the game system each time you hit 300k and if it looked like fucking garbage that would only compound the issue. Cho Ren Sha 68k and Geowars weren't a fucking assault on the senses. No one is saying it was seizure inducing because it looked like a bullet hell game, we're saying it was seizure inducing because it looked like this. I really don't know anything about Graphics Design but there is some fucking basic thing like shading that BWR is just missing and that makes it look like shit. Sure it might represent some high level of technical mastery in the genre, but who would give a fuck?
