Here's everything I own, I think:
GTA IV (****)
Pros: The writing, the protagonist, the supporting character cousin whatshisface.
Cons: Lack of Save Anywhere.
Robotron 2084 (*)
Pros: The 7th best game of all-time.
Cons: The control scheme on a gamepad sucks. The on-line multiplayer involves waiting for another person to join and you two play at the same time. When they die your game is over. Jesus Fucking Christ.
Batman: Arkham Asylum (***)
Pros: Greatest super-hero game of all time featuring a real super-hero?
Cons: The writing is terrible.
Zombie Apocalypse (**)
Pros: Like Robotron, but with simultaneous local multiplayer.
Cons: Too easy, no sense of tension.
Pac-Man: Championship Edition (**)
Pros: The best Pac-Man game since Baby Pac-Man. Great graphics.
Cons: I'm not saying I know where they could ever go with this, but it gets a little boring.
Paperboy (****)
Pros: Really well-emulated.
Cons: Control scheme.
Braid (***)
Pros: Beautiful graphics, haunting soundtrack. The "reverse" control is like the gravity gun in HL2: all games in its genre should have it.
Cons: The writing.
Dead Rising (****)
Pros: First game to really make everything and anything a weapon.
Cons: I've come around on the save system, it's fine, but the ONE remaining con is having to navigate the extended hallway each replay. I worked at the mall once. I made that journey myself. I... I don't want to do it 100 times in a game.
Warlords (*)
Pros: None
Cons: Control scheme, lack of multiplayer, even if I were to spend $45 and get a 360 with a paddle controller, that's $45 I could have put towards a real cocktail Warlords machine.
I Made a Game With Zombies In It! (***)
Pros: Engrossing shooter for 99 cents or whatever
Cons: Too easy, no tension.
Borderlands (INCOMPLETE)
Pros: Graphics.
Cons: Boring.
Odds I will play again: LOW
Brutal Legend (INCOMPLETE)
Pros: Voice acting, writing, graphics, combat
Cons: Boring
Odds I will play again: HIGH
Tecmo Bowl Throwback (**)
Pros: Better than every Madden game to come out in the last 10 years.
Cons: Lack of real NFL teams, the fact that when Blob and I tried to play it, Microsoft was bitching about how my purple router wasn't good enough. Fuck you! It's purple! Purple is always good enough.
