It's been about six months and I can't imagine living without this thing. I was planning on staying with the 2.2.1 release until I or it died, but there was an SMS vulnerability that required the 3.0.1. patch. I upgraded and had my phone placed in jailbreak, and it's wonderful.
My complaints, for 2.2.1, was that the thing would seem to freeze up at the worst possible times, usually when I was driving. I'm one of those assholes who holds his phone up for its real-time map function, because I don't know where anything is, and I get lost constantly. Well, whatever was done for 3.x, it really sped things up.
I just like owning it, as well, and customizing it. I ultimately want to live my life with a phone that looks like an TOS Trek communicator, or a Fallout Pipboy. I had to make some custom icons (the bottom row) but I've got the thing exactly as I like it:
(I recommend getting iPhoneBrowser.exe as quickly as possible. It is much easier then mucking about with WiFi, trying to get into the phone that way.)
