So I'm living in an NZ shithole with some illegal Asian immigrants. by Quétinbec 04/14/2009, 4:24pm PDT Well, only a couple of them are illegal. The other SIX(!) are just lonely mirgrants on temporary VISAs who listen to sad love songs and get in fights over who is stealing their toothpaste. The Asians are all very impressed by me because Irene told them I was a stock broker from Australia (she wanted to show me off to a girl who once said she was a sad old bitch that couldn't get a man). That girl was like... "Are you staying here?" "No, no! (Laughable) I'm just passing through to say my goodbyes to friends and family." "Oh, so where are you going after New Zealand." "Dubai." "Wow." "Yeah." The room Irene lives in isn't big enough to fit two single mattresses in side by side, and even if we could, she only has one sheet (the one I gave her when we first travelled up!). I'm embarrassed to be in it. At night, I can't stretch my legs or I'll knock the jug and toaster off her desk. I haven't been able to sleep for days. The walls are thin and as I lie awake at night, I try to figure out what the guy in the room next to us is playing by the frequency of his mouse clicks.
