So why is Japanese "horror" spreading? by Lizard_King 01/02/2005, 12:48am PST
And I don't mean the kind that is actually scary, like bayoneting pregnant women for no particular reason. I mean Ringu. That shit is everywhere in horror movies nowadays. It seems mediocre American horror consists of cliches from OTHER CULTURES, now. What the fuck? Who is this appealing to?
Also, the take home lesson...never rent anything with a Japanese director. Not until they sober up and start making samurai versions of shakespeare or something.
