The main thing that game has going for it is that it's full of small, fun segments that would get old if you played them for a length of time, but it keeps changing things up often enough that none of the elements ever wears thin.

Even on their own, they're still beat a lot of other "specialized" games. The racing segments are more fun than all of F-Zero (those looters cavern segments reminded me of all those star wars games where you had to navigate through the deathstar interior, only it was about 10 times more fun than any previous attempt). The stealth segments are more fun than any other half-assed effort (hell, I even thought it had Splinter Cell beat).

Just when you think you've seen it all suddenly you're in a hovercraft racing segments with a shitload of things trying to blow you the fuck up. Then you're running for your life in a sequence ripped straight from the matrix that's awesome without being yet another ripoff of that movie and its gimmicks.

My only complaints are that one segment where you have to find a fuse to power an elevator (which was boring enough), then when you beat the boss and just want to leave the level behind, you have to go fetch another fuse to open a door. During the entire time you try to navigate your way through that level with a very unhelpful map (the map would be another minus, but that one level was the only part that I had trouble navigating on my own). Restoring power puzzles should be forever banned. Then there was the fact that the alpha section guards became a lot less intimidating and challenging once I discovered you could just shoot a disc into their backs to kill them.

The biggest complaint of all: cliffhanger ending and no chance for a sequel :(
