| first off, the intro starts with one of the worst and shittiest overhyped games to ever appear on a nintendo system: battletoads. the one featured is (I think) the battletoads battlemaniacs game for the SNES, where they attempted a watered down duplication of the racing mission BUT THIS TIME YOU'RE RIDING A CHECKER PICKING UP BOWLING PINS. it's like they recognized the inherent shittiness of the first game's race mission and wanted to out-do the shittiness factor.
ok moving on the very first thing they mention is how super star wars is a classic (it is a pretty nice game) BUT IT'S EASY TO BEAT WITH A CODE. well yeah, I guess if you use a cheat code in a game to cheat it might make the game easier..................... that's kinda the fucking point retard. but getting off the topic of using cheat codes by default just to play a game that allows cheats, super star wars was kind of a hard game, there was a lot of bullshit jumping shit puzzles and shit which dragged down what was actually a decent sidescroller with guns and a lightsaber. the shadowrun part is right on, the game was pretty damn good but it was overshadowed (lol?) due to the release of several other games released at the time (I seem to remember the year it was released a ton of really great snes games came out). I dunno if I would just come out with a blanket statement that shadowrun is "better" but they're both really good games. megaman x, everyone seemed to think this was the beginning and end of all platform games, but I was really pissed off by the continued presence of instadeath pits and spikes, as well as the bosses all being giants now instead of looking like modified versions of megaman. being able to slide and wall jump didn't help with navigating the areas. BEEN THERE DONE THAT BOUGHT THE T SHIRT. death valley rally I think I actually rented simply because I love loony toons ESPECIALLY the road runner (drew on my work sheets from first to third grade with just a road runner and giant smoke trail, teachers hated that, fuck those insufferable cunts). the game is kinda shitty but it had really nice animation. THE ONLY WAY TO WIN IS TO CHEAT (nice game design there, game designers) taz-mania, did I try playing this shit for a few seconds at some point? if I did, I didn't spend long on it before throwing it aside. nice mode 7 grafix anyway. daffy duck marvin missions, I have never heard of this game ever before in my life. cheating is a requirement to win I guess? does this game even allow cheats? I know some snes games allowed cheats.... oh it SPOILS ALL THE FUN HUH OH THAT IS SAD LETS CRY ABOUT IT bugs bunny rabbit rampage, never heard of it so it can't be much of a must have game. oh I can't cheat in that hm? this guy is obsessed with cheating in snes games, despite the fact that almost no snes games allowed it. "don't expect to win" well I guess if I never try to play it I shouldn't expect that, but then I will also never need to waste my time with a game that I can't even beat aero the acrobat, a bat that jumps on trampolines or some shit. looked gay, never played it not even once. bubsy, a sonic ripoff back when nintendo was getting shit on by sega on tv about genesis does what nintenDONT and other retarded bullshit like that. I actually remember bubsy had a few cool things in it but still suffered from the same problems that made sonic a shitty game (running face first into walls at top speed). oh and bawww about it being "too easy." just end the motherfucking game so I can play something else, it's not that fun waynes world, wasn't worth my time but it was worth this faggot's time contra 3 OH GEE WHAT IS THIS CONTRA 3 GAME YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT PLZ INFORM US! "surprisingly fun?" kiss my fat fucking ASS reviewfag. only 3 words spent on it's difficulty, I guess because the game was capable of being really hard but wasn't "hard enough" for hardcore fags who don't enjoy games. joe & mac, I heard of it but I never cared enough to try it out. "winning requires minor cheating" read as: the entire game is boring badly designed dogshit not worth bothering with. my instincts were right on even back then. "sequel is much better" well then why even mention this load of shit? pocky & rocky, a really bad attempt to sucker in the legend of the mystical ninja fans. any game that actually has the word "pocky" in it loses points. "very frustrating." the black death was a very frustrating illness. he whines about how super mario kart has a "poor ending" it's a fucking racing game dipshit. I loved this game way back in the day, probably played it too much and got way too good at it. battlemode was really fun but aside from getting red shells there wasn't much point to the whole game mode (it's a little more complex than that but EH). zelda 3 href to the past, considered by some people to be the best zelda game in history... but this moron thinks the original was a better game? "for some unknown reason" (I know the reason, you are just plain fucking wrong). the ending was also really good, he hates the ending, he also complains that the game is "very difficult" even though it's one of the first games to showcase the benefit of making the game have walkthrough difficulty (ie only requires that you spend the time playing it to beat it). he calls this very difficult but then he describes all these other games as just being "hard to beat." maybe if it doesn't allow cheats he just can't handle the PRESSUUUUUUUUUUUUUUURE FF2 gets the dual title of "classic epic." bad news there pal, it's just a straight up jrpg but with almost no grindan shit. the music isn't that amazing either (it's not bad, certainly was great to listen to when I was 12). "moderately good ending" what the fuck does this guy want from an ending? SHIT I agree about actraiser, except the ending wasn't so much boring as it was overlong for the sake of the gamer. he doesn't mention the really excellent music, even though he just blew his load over FF2. assfuck actrasier 2 is a terrible shitpile of ass failure, yet all he has to say is "not as good as the original." maybe there is something to be said for keeping all these reviews short, I'm only a couple minutes into his video and it's taken me like 15 minutes to type a rebuttal. :( and yeah, they erased the sim portion of the game, yet updated the graphics (the first game was nearly a launch title, 2 came out a few years or so afterwards) king of the monsters 2, sounded like a decent rental, but I never bothered actually doing that. addams family, I played the shit out of that game yet I can't remember how far I got. "the secret password destroys the challenge" OH NO FUCKING SHIT LADY THATS A VERY INTERESTING REPORT WELL I HAD THIS BURNING ITCHING SENSATION BETWEEN MY TOES pugsly game, never bothered with that joe n mac 2, "pure fun" gee sounds like I missed out on such a wonderful classic game too fucking bad I won't even bother downloading the rom now SUPER street fighter 2, pretty sure I had stopped playing the series and all fighting games around this time tiny toons, fuck I loved that game, it's still a pretty nice game. dunno about "a breeze to beat" you just gotta put the time and effort into playing it, that doesn't make it a breeze faggot asswipe hahahahah holy fuck castlevania 4's review: "a breeze to beat but only if you cheat." so... if you don't cheat, does that make it NOT a breeze to beat? hm, if only there was some way of finding out. I played the shit out of CV4 and I could go on about it but basically I am surprised a fucking nintendo fanboy only has one sentence to say about it. what his "review" means is basically getting to dracula is hard as dick, but beating dracula is really very easy zombies 8 my neighbors, shit sucks super mario all stars, why...................................... why star fox, "you can win fairly easily, by cheating." suck a dick you fucking motard, WHY EVEN MENTION IT IF THATS YOUR WHOLE REVIEW stunt race fx, gotta agree on this one, I played it for a very long time based on my love of star fox and the fx chip, but when I was done I never played any racing game seriously ever again. super metroid, nuff said, everyones played it, I got one of the best completion times EVAR (1:49~). his review still sucks because it's pointless jurassic park, I remember this game had like a fps set of levels and some other stuff... having a hard time remembering anything else (probably thx to the 100+ degree heat in my grandma's basement frying my memory). surprised the snes survived that let alone us. game wasn't that good but it was one of the first fps games I ever played and even back then I kinda liked that. aladdin, don't remember if I even played it considering the giant shitload of disney games released back then. "easy easy easy." make up your mind man, are games too easy or not easy enough? why doesn't he mention out of this world? battleFOADS in battlemaniacs. if it's way too hard, then it's not a classic, it's just a mistake of bad game design and deserves to be forgotten |
