Here people are bitching about melee, squig herders are broken, and on POE someone's bitching about healers being terrible (apparently zealots can't heal for shit compared to DoK.). I do think healers are a bit overpowered with their instants, but they can be killed if they're not being healed by other people. If anything, the PvP isn't like WoW where you can stack your equipment and talents so that you can burst damage someone for their entire health bar. If the other team is even slightly organized and your team isn't, game over. I'm having a hard time deciding if everyone is really totally broken or if the game is more finely tuned to teamwork.
That all said, it's nice they normalize everyone's stats, but lower level people still don't have a prayer against higher levels because higher level players still have more powerful abilities at their disposal. Playing as a squig herder on my other server, in T2 it wasn't until 15 or 16 I had semi-decent damage output, and before that I was basically a walking piñata. My biggest problem now is that I can easily hit top 3 damage output, but that's just loading up dots on other people and using the gas squig to hit multiple targets. I can't actually kill anyone, so I basically just have to dot and hope it drains enough health that other people can kill them. Is that supposed to be my job? I don't know, and the manual and game don't either. |
