Ideally this would be something they just turned on for the E3 crowds. Or at least turn it off on the harder difficulties, so if you lose you lose the whole campaign and not just some progress, so in order to finish the campaign you have to be capable of surviving the entire thing. At least that's how I always assumed the game would play. If they let you just retry from a checkpoint, you could finish a whole campaign in a day, and then after maybe 6 more you'd be done with the entire game in a week or two. I want the possibility to fully lose just to justify further playing. |
