| about what virus scanners you already have. But if there's anything Norton is now famous for it's false positives, particularly when it comes to trojans like Grey. If you're paranoid about it (as I would be) the cleaner has given me good results for trojan specific problems that my conventional antivirus back in the day couldn't seem to kick altogether (it would keep giving me positives on the existence of x trojan even after it had been specifically targeted multiple times). Of course, I haven't had any problems along those lines since I started using NOD32 on my primary computer, so my information on free options may be a bit dated.
AVG remains my free choice, and NOD32 my paid choice. If either of those get excited about a problem they can't solve I'd get worried, but it hasn't happened yet. |
