| I went with the "Hot Rod" from Ars Technica latest system guide.
Motherboard (or 'Mobo') is Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3P. Processor is Intel Core 2 Duo E6750 Retail. Video Card is PNY Geforce 8800GT. 2GB of RAM and a new power supply. I kept my old SATA drive and optical drives, monitor etc etc. As predicted, it's been over 2 hours since I put the hardware in and I still haven't booted into XP successfully. Ubuntu is flirting with me but I can't say I logged into that successfully either. Hooray! My cock is okay now but will become a lot stiffer once all this shit works and I can play a game with bump mapping physics or whatever the new tech is. Look forward to my S.T.A.L.K.E.R. review in January, followed by Bioshock in April and maybe GTA4 whenever it is released for PC! |
