Our guild is full of TEH STUPIDS and the guild channel is filled with the most inane dribble and awful non-jokes ever. I also love how nobody knows how to play the game -- priests looking for magister's sets instead of devout sets. (Devout what does that mean?) Basic tactical mistakes like guys running past enemies to kill others -- and oops the guys they ran past aggroed! Shocking! But they were in a hurry, see! Well now we get to corpse jog, so good time saver, man. Stuff like that. Should I mention the keystone cops horde-fighting we did? It's so embarrassing. :( Oh, and in my guild people say "ding" whenever they get a level. Any level. GRATZ! YAY GO YOU.
Not to mention that I just can't quit my job to play this game as much as these guys appear to play it.
I still love how nobody knows what floating debris is. "Don't fish there, it's just debris." It's free treasure, you fucking idiots. "Where did you get your spiritchaser staff of healing?" Caught it fishing. I don't know what bait I was using, but the mithril-bound crates were biting.

The first guild I joined, I got kicked out for "inappropriate behavior" - trolling Orgrimmar and pst'ing "[Meaty Bat Wing]" to lvl 60s (BACK IN THE DAY) doing Strat runs. Then they pst back "wut" and you pst "5g." And they go insane with rage. Anyway the guild thought this was a bad use of my time, since what I should be doing is levelling so I can do Strat runs. Me. Kicked!
Then I started my own guild. It lasted approximately an hour. Then I stopped playing for two months and came back to find that pet attack speeds had been normalized, which means that I had spent SEVERAL WEEKS intermittently trawling the Badlands for Broken Tooth... for no reason. I understand why pre-patch High Warlords were fucking pissed about the new High Warlord rules, even though becoming High Warlord is inherently gay.
Anyway that broke my heart and I shuffled my exhorbitantly wealthy, powerful, and annoying First Hunter Ever under the carpet. A fresh start on my favorite kind of server: RPPVP! Free dinner theater and lots of bloodshed.
The guild I joined on the new server was full of people who weren't total cocks. They enjoyed my zany hijinx and high culture references, also they were a PVP guild and pleased enough to watch my level 45 hunt pick off lvl 59 alliance pallies during our encroachments on enemy territory. THE SECRET IS PATIENCE. Then I stopped playing for two months and when I came back the guild had merged with sko high powered raiding guild.
I settled into a migratory PVP-centric life of fishing, photography, and levelling my assortment of pigs and vultures. The only benefit whatsoever to levelling up to 70 is no benefit, since most of the wander-worthy territories are for levels 50 and under. For some reason Blizzard things high-level characters want to see nothing but wasteland, lava, and diseased trees. Basically when you are levelled enough to enjoy Winterspring, you are levelled enough. |
