Ah, the difficulty meter in GH by Lizard_King 09/16/2007, 9:32am PDT
I was really crushed when I got stuck on the standard difficulty, tried to restart on easy (TAUNTED BY MAIN CHARACTER), only to find easy is only marginally less excruciatingly difficult because that goddamned ratcheting up of difficulty every time I get on a roll.

I guess that's when you see clear superiority between the GH fighter AI and others. Within microseconds of the meter going up a level, you can instantly see the enemies getting that much better. It's like what those stars in GTA were supposed to do, but without spamming enemies. Also, that and how gangs of enemies don't take turns on you unless it's a scripted series of events. They just fuck you up.

I think I survived through 3 to insane once. Then I got smashed to a pulp all the way back down to 1.

Wonder what this game would look like on my new tv. Oh no.
