| I don't have every good PS2 game ever made, but I have gotten more hours of enjoyment out of God Hand than every other PS2 game I have played, put together.
Somebody said it was something it's nothing like crossed with Punch Out!, but in my opinion it's, Double Dragon on the NES crossed with Doom. Nonstop whaling on motherfuckers' faces and then spinkicking them across the world into a wall and then physically ducking yourself because SHIT some piece of shit pussy guy hurt you by throwing a knife and then you'd kill him by cracking his back EXCEPT a dominatrix chick took away half your health with her whip. Then you kill her by spanking her to death. I've probably played it for 40 hours now without putting anything else into the console and I still kind of suck at it. It's tied with DMC3 (original US version) for Hardest Video Game To Come Out This Decade (hint: if you suck at games like me, Yes Man Kablaam is your only hope). I left it alone for a month or two and when I went back I still couldn't play through the first stage without getting killed multiple times. Okami, I haven't played. The buzz around it reminds me of Ico, which is supposed to be good but is actually the videogame equivalent of a moment of contemplative silence. |
