| First, the theme song and opening intro. They are terrible. It is hard being not 12 years old anymore HM? The only thing I can think of now is the scene in Boogie Nights when Dirk is recording his album (his most personal recording yet) and the producer is running in place, LOAAAAAAAAAADED OUT OF HIS MIND ON COKE because the song is so upbeat and inspirational.
As for the intro, they must've cut too many times or didn't have enough actual show footage because they just had to keep reusing the shot of Chip kicking Dale in the ass like over 9,000 times. As for the show itself, so far it's horrible just having to listen to Chip's voice because he has that chipmunk effect where they crank the octaves. I completely forgot about this but for some reason it is annoying to me. I never liked him anyway. The animation just LOOKS weird now too. I am not really immersed in this amazing fictional world of crime solving chipmunks. Instead I can't help but to notice how the animation budget was high while the rest of the production values were low and how uneven it looks. This whole "reliving your childhood through old cartoons" thing apparently doesn't always work. I'm sure the rest of the whole SHOW is just going to be more of that stuff and probably embarrassing to watch. So it's like most anime. |
