I like City of Heroes, here's why. by Last 08/06/2007, 3:29pm PDT 1.) Superhero settings are relatively fresh. 2.) All classes use the same loot, so the value of loot is constant across the board. 3.) There's a huge variety in characters appearance. 4.) The travel powers are fast. 5.) No mob camping. 6.) The PvP is completely avoidable. 7.) The loot appears in your inventory automatically. The best and worst part of MMO games are the fact that you play with other people. When CoH came out it did a great job of making all the fun parts more fun, while minimizing the effect of jerks. The game was much better when it was straight PvE. When WoW came out, NCSoft decided to nerf every class in order to glue on some terrible, terrible PvP to an already perfect game. This was an awful decision since by that point everyone who was thinking of jumping ship to WoW had already left, and the people who wanted to stay and play PvE got screwed (and then left). I've played the game some over the summer, and they've made some smart improvements since 2005, so it is pretty fun again. I've never played WoW but it is a fact that CoH is superior to it in every single way.
