I've laughed out loud (LOL, IRL!) twice at the cutscenes from this game. Compare this to my stonefacedness for all of "Curse of Monkey Island" and all I could stand (1 hour) of "Escape from Monkey Island". So mathematically speaking, MDK2 is already infinitely funnier than half of the Monkey Island games. Maybe I'm just high, but I have a good feeling about this game.
One half-hour into "The Secret of Monkey Island" my diabetes bracelet went off and I had to get some sugar because of my low blood pressure. I didn't have enough King-Size Snickers in the house to keep playing, so I had to shelve it until I had enough sugar to survive it. I'm able to get a little bit done after Halloween and a little more each Easter so long as the bunny I get is solid and not hollow, and at this rate I expect to have it finished by about 2014. On the other hand, these lengthy Monkey Island gaming sessions has shown marvelous cost/playtime value. |
