The biggest hint is the Ranger love. Rangers suck without tommy guns and veterancy, Allies don't need another light vehicle counter. Also the saying Strafing runs suck, because they're simply the best off-map "artillery" because it's pretty much impossible to dodge. Unless of course you don't know how to use them...
Most powerful strats at the moment for Axis:
Blitzkrieg and Veterancy: whack out some Stormtroopers, go tier 3 for Pumas to control Riflespam and StuGs to counter Crocs. When your first Tiger pops out you should have level 3 vet on them, that's pretty much the end of the game there.
Tier 2 + Terror: Go tier 2, spam grenadiers with a medic bunker for lots of free squads, eventually you'll get pushed off the map if a Pershing turns up or a Croc if you don't have enough grenadiers. Hold out for that last CP and then roll out a Tiger Ace and win the game. Get level 3 veterancy on your infantry and level 1 on your support units.
For Allies: Regardless of strat, you WILL need a mortar at some point in the game and two snipers will destroy all Axis infantry due to the smaller squad size.
Armour Company: Spam rifles, pop out motor pool if there's no tier 2 presence. Call in Pershing. This is weakened by a recent patch change to Allied War Machine, decreasing it's active time to a sensible length. If you see Defensive doctrine, possibly go for Calliope, but get as close as you can for maximum barrage effect.
Airborne: Spam rifles, buy BAR upgrade. First CP on recon run, scout the Axis (NAZI) base, if you see Tier 2 go right hand side for strafing runs to destroy his infantry. If you see tier 3 go left hand side for Paratroopers (with recoilless rifles) and air-dropped AT guns. If you don't manage to end the game before Tigers come out, get ready to drop AT guns and possibly have a Motor Pool handy to build them cheaper.
I'm super pumped for Opposing Fronts, the British (Creeping Barrage!) and Panzer L33t look great, the glider-tanks seem awesome. |
