Earlier I mentioned I am running a GF4MX440 (onboard) still. So Counter-Strike looks like:
I need a video card. Entropy Stew suggested a geforce 6600, which is great, except that there's still no AGP version available, which is not as great. I'm trying to ride the price/performance ratio as much as possible and absolutely stay under $250. I'd also like 256MB of video RAM, because I have a sneaky feeling that the new generation of games will require 256MB soonish. ALSO: AGP slot. So here's the leading candidate: Radeon 9800Pro 256MB, $175. Any complaints? |
