Sure, but I believe BAH is fairly standard across the military. I'm sure if 1. Camp Lejeune was in Orange County and 2. I lived offbase it wouldn't be that impressive a difference.

I never had a problem having enough room for my desktop way back when I was an active duty E3.
Well, you have to prioritize. I just bought a new car, for instance. Besides, I still have the desktop I built my senior year of college. I just don't have it here as a matter of convenience...my TV and xbox/ps2 are more of a priority.

And yah, in the Army E1-E4 is just a pay increase. Being an E4 just means you've finally figured out how the Army works and how to sham out of work. Weren't you just complaining about people with a tiny bit more rank than you lording it over you like it was a bad thing?

Like virtually every characteristic of the Marine Corps, it is a two edged sword...ie something to be proud of and something that sucks, ALL AT THE SAME TIME.
