You really can't complain about the cheapness of wasting healing items before knowing that your apartment will stop healing because the game hardly gives you any healing items before that happens. Like, before your apartment turns sour, you find about 2 healthdrinks a level. In the stages after your apartment gets fucked up, I found the game starts supplying you with plenty of healthkits.
I really didn't find the game to difficult seeing as how there seems to be plenty of healing items laying around in the late game.
Also, I think the environments were so gorgeous, and there were enough little changes, that it didn't really seem tedious running through them a second time.
You can't tell me going through the prison and building levels a second time while trying to find handicap access routes for Eileen's gimp ass was fun. And the item puzzles, jesus. The building world's birthday candles, volleyball, and stuffed cat almost made me quit, as did the horde of insects you had to fight on the way down the staircase at the end. My friend who was watching went and took a nap telling me to wake him up when the building level was over.
On another note, I didn't think SH2 could be passed in terms of Freudian imagery, but it has. |
