Michael Moore Hates America by Jhoh Cable o_O 03/29/2007, 6:08pm PDT
Pretty good really! I wanted to see this when it came out a couple years ago (I settled for downloading Fahrenhype 9/11 (GET IT?) which isn't as good), and only remembered it a couple days ago. :(

Only part of it is about how Michael Moore hates America, which he of course does and everyone knows that by now after all the stuff has died down. Back then some of the lame-os tried to hold out and be like "hey man uh uh just because" whatever, who cares, they were wrong the whole time and it can only be admitted now that the whole thing is forgotten about. But Mike Wilson, who made this movie, goes all Roger & Me style (which is still a good movie I think) trying to find Michael Moore and ask him questions about his real feelings on America (even though it's shown right at the beginning of the movie with clips of Moore's interviews to foreign press saying that America is a terrible terrible place that no country should want to be like) and about misrepresenting the facts and squirrely editing to show things people say and things that didn't happen (the bank thing, which Moore on and off claims really happened like that and didn't happen like that).

But anyway, the rest of the movie is actually about how America is not in danger of being en$$$slaved by corporations and their corporate fatcat games. It doesn't try to make a case that there aren't greedy corporations and such and such stuff we already know, just that instead of peoples lives and livelihood being at the mercy of corporations, people can still have a chance at making a living and a family and the usual such and such, with some work and some opportunity. Unlike me because I'm lazy.

Other portions of the movie deal with the actual documentary process, and how lying can be an inherent part of it, while still drawing a distinction between misleading people's expectations and taking the words of the bible and TWIIIIIIIIIIIIIIISTUH. Ing. As you can imagine, trying to interview people for a movie called Michael Moore Hates America would probably have to involve a little dodging, but the movie actually does deal with that issue and shows the results when they do confess to the name of the movie and the real topic. A lot of people shown are normal democrats, not portrayed in even a negative or positive light (although really everyone in the movie comes off perfectly fine), some who even like Michael Moore. The movie doesn't try to villify them or make fun of them or make them look stupid, anywhere, and Wilson doesn't try to ask them pointed or confrontational questions. When he asks a Moore supporter about what they think about those tricks he does in his movies, usually they respond by saying that they wouldn't like that but it doesn't change how they feel about buhs or whatever. There probably were a lot of people expecting this movie to be one of them conservative attack films in response to Frrnrlbr 9/11 (and there were a bunch of them already made), but instead it seems to be more about normal America and how things are normal (unmentioned is how things are probably similar throughout the rest of the normal countries), documentaries, and Michael Moore being full of shit. I guess if rationality could brainwash you, this would be the movie to do it. Penn Gilette is even a guest interview subject, making this movie seem even more like an episode of Bullshit about Michael Moore, and it's always fun to see him show up on screen in this movie.

I remember that The Daily Show's pointless damage control (co sponsored by Moore) was to let Moore just PISS all over them while they smiled and licked it up, because apparently a movie called Michael Moore Hates America was JUST TOO DANGEROUS TO GO UNANSWERED (although it was unanswered in the movie itself by Moore because he refused to even face any interview with Mike Wilson). Moore knew he was dodging this guy who wanted to ask him perfectly legitimate and in fact fair questions about his movies, waited for the movie to be released, then went out and did a cameo (ooooooooo) in this really lame, jokeless Daily Show skit (i.e. an average Daily Show skit) to act like "hey guys I wasn't even hiding, ha ha! And this Wilson guy is too dumb for me to actually try to confront, and it's not because I'm a big fat fucking 2 million pound neckbeard adult infant!" It was like watching the scene in matrix 3 where the guys fought by running on the ceiling. This(?!?!??11/1/1fsfd) was their collective answer to Moore's desperate hiding from any serious documenting of what would be his official statement on his made up bullshit in his fake ass movies, and The Daily Show was just all too willing to suck that cock hard, no matter how vital (like vital excess powering personal helicopters) so many turnip fucking truck rubes thought The Daily Show was to political news coverage discourse blah blah bullshit. I suppose back in the 2003ish time frame it was reasonable to think that the daily show could still be relevant, until they actively decided to fill a couple minutes of air time spending the last of their dignity bending over and begging for it from this fraud. Only after all this stuff has been forgotten can people actually admit that yes, Michael Moore's movies were bullshit, instead they had to act like their free speech was being surpressed if someone actually called Moore on his bullshit embarrassingly fake movies. After Jon Stewart was done personally gargling Moore's jizz on camera before yelling over the crowd into a commercial break, TDS joined the ranks of Bill o rlly and an "hero" coulter; it was like seeing the rethuglikkkan shills making their usual lame ass excuses for pat buhhhcanan or some other faggot or buhs thanks cheney for having the bravery to whatever while a crowd gives them a standing ovation, except uh oh(!!!!) that's Jon Stewart speedbagging the nuts like a cocksucking hooker (while screaming I USED TO BE FUNNY through the nuts and over the audience....... or am I thinking of Bill Maher? same thing, both old and no longer funny or relevant). Fade to clapping seals cheering when the sign lights up, laughing when Jon yells the punchline (yelling means you have to laugh at it, he must've went to the Robin Williams school of jokes and jokes), and then being as silent as a Jimmy Fallon SNL sketch during the CSPAN clips of a senator fumbling lines or something, and cut back to the wuhhhhhh? mugging mincing whatever words I heard in a blogposto. The only reason TDS is still on the air is because people watch it like it's some kind of Dane Cook "come on guys we're all gonna do this TOGETHER and team up on myspace and make a difference BRO!" experience of unity and togetherness changing the world faggot shit for college students who really listen to their linguistics professor (myan) about anything that isn't linguistics. The only thing worse would be of course the fox news shows which I've never even seen and I don't care and I don't think that exempts me from saying those shows suck too (I even resent being linked to that half hour news comedy show fox news had, like I'd even need to hit the link to know it's totally unwatchable ass fuck shit and like I should even care). Still, TDS is way past any prime it could've had and is on par with the average punduh show. They still have interview segments for fucking fuck's sake, how dated and unnecessary is that? Especially in what has the pretense of a comedy show, where they interview some old 70 year old faggot who wrote a book about fuckin who even gives a shit. I know I'm way way ahead of my time here (even talking about tds in anything but a positive blowjobby "accepting everything I see there as funny and smart because their news clips have a stock ticker under them" light, when some people still think it's a very important meeeeeeeeeeaningful show) and only after this show has died slowly and painfully will people be able to admit even to themselves that I was right the entire time, but really, interview segments should've been phased out with 5 questions. We've already had a Chevy Chase show where boring hosts interview boring guests about shit no one cares about, we don't need to recreate it 5 days a week for the rest of our lives. I mean I'm sure Jon's a nice guy and all, but I could shit a better show in my sleep, Trainspotting style. Fortunately I'll never get the chance to have to try to own up to that. It would cut into my video games and internet posting.

Michael Moore Hates America: positive!

The Daily Show: no one's seen it because it hasn't been funny for years
