| I hated the level grind in Disgaea 1. Then I discovered how to avoid the grind entirely and cheat the item world.
You get a buffed up warrior with an axe (To kill the specialists), a Martial Artist (To remove monsters sitting on the exit panel), and 9 Thieves (Longest/Highest throw distance.) Make big thief chains as necessary to throw the martial artist either onto the exit square or adjacent to it, and throw the warrior next to any specialists. Kill the specialist in one hit, knock the enemy off the exit panel, walk the martial artist onto the panel. Do it all in 1 round. Easier than it sounds, and the power boost of a level 30 weapon is obscene, to say nothing of all the specialists you accumulate like mercury in the food chain. Plus the experience and skill boosting specialists help you reach rediculous levels anyway. It was at that point that the megalomaniacal accumulation of power germ got me. I tried Makai kingdoms. Besides the overall rushed amateur job of it all, it lacked anything like the item world cheat. I was in no mood for 100 hours of monster-mugging. With all that said, is the item world cheat possible/practical in Disgaea 2? |
