It's certainly possible, although nowhere near as guaranteed in its results due to the increased complexity of the item world. I would say powerlevelling is relatively easier in D2 than D1, but the game overall is harder in terms of powerlevelling alone getting you by in the game. If you liked the first I can't imagine many ways apart from a Fabio-like fascination with the original's plot that you wouldn't prefer the second.
If you are interested in the game for grinding purposes, I highly recommend both the doublejump guide for the second which has a lot of great information in an easily accessible format (which alone makes it far more useful than any gamefaq) as well as the hardcore gamer primer (available on that magazine's website in the Disgaea 2 cover issue, downloadable in pdf) on making a level 9999 character in less than 40 hrs. |
