I'm excited about more hysterical warnings of calamities in the future. This place is really top notch. Just moved in two weeks ago, for the low low price of $270 more than my last place, which oddly enough never had problems with their fucking pipes.
I remember my first apartment. It was on the 2nd floor of a 5-story building, fairly new construction.
The 2nd night after I moved in there was a really heavy rainstorm. Suddenly I heard a drip and to my shock, the ceiling in my 2nd floor apartment was dripping! Dripped all night in several places, I had to put every pot and bowl to work catching all the water.
Later I learned the dumbasses in the apartment directly above me had left their window wide open, I can only guess how bad the water damage was for them.
Then at the end of the spring, RIGHT before exams, my kitchen sink drain began barfing up (at least that's the best description of the sound) partially decomposed liquid garbage to the point of overflowing. I had to spend the whole night with a bucket playing nursemaid to my plumbing, dumping the shit down the tub before it spilled all over the floor.
When management FINALLY got around to addressing the problem they told me the upstairs neighbors were washing raw rice down their garbage disposals which was fucking up the pipes or some shit and it was my good luck that the shit from everyone's garbage disposals from floors 5 thru 3 all flowed down to my drain on the 2nd floor (no apartments on the 1st floor). |
