Yeah, but C4 and the dumb Claymores are used liberally in close quarters. by Worm 10/28/2006, 10:28am PDT I'd rather shoot guys twice in the gut (or even in the head if I concentrate hard enough) and have all that other garbage to use in a patently offensive way which betrays its intended purpose. I've had snipers just drop one claymore somewhere in a tunnel as I was running after him, because he knew there was no way I could pass it without dying. Just make people go prone to set them and throw a timer on it or something, I'm tired of the fucker dropping one in a tight quarters firefight. The C4 isn't as bad, but it's still nice to have as an option, especially since walkers and hover tanks have giant blind spots. In other news: I'm getting more and more sick of Titan as the best tactics begin to emerge. It's like a fucking pyramid scheme for points, and I'm always at the bottom. You fly your titan where you can use those dumb guns to bombard at least two silo and hold them. The dumb guns get repaired instantly and take a bit to destroy. So one engineer can man them forever effectively locking down a silo and there is nothing you can do except just ignore that point or run in, go prone, and hope you're out of view from all four of the guns. Either your shield or your enemy's shield goes down. Forget attacking unless they're not defending. If they have at least one support, one recon, and one assault in a tunnel you'll never ever ever take it. Sure, you can dump your entire team into it. However, that whole time they're either fucking with your 3 man titan corridor crew, or taking silos and winning anyway. You keep concentrating on the points until they all leave the titan to get the points, then maybe board it and C4 the fuck out of everything.
