Maybe it's the map layout or just the general newness of the game, but for whatever reason every match seems to featurermation of this huge, intense firefight over one of the major chokepoints, which is something that usually only happened at the losing team's last flag in BF2.
Chalk it up to the spawn beacon maybe?
I'm finding the cramped city maps an absolute blast, while wide open maps seem unplayably dull. I think it's because the majority of unlock goodies are designed for close fighting and never come into play at all in the wide open.
You don't like to snipe on the wide open maps?
Another thing I'm liking about the 2142 maps is how much they change being conquest or Titan mode. I find Minsk average in Titan, but in conquest it's a meatgrinder, especially at those trenches/guardtowers. And of course the Titans themselves are always insane -- usually I drop 14-20 points in the Titan as I try to C4 the consoles/core and my teammates take a closer look.
I still haven't even seen the Berlin map yet, and there's a bunch I've only played once.
It was a brilliant idea making the best new addition - the jump rocket deployment things - and making it such a core part of the game for titan mode.

c4 does not shoot them in the head by Entropy Stew 10/27/2006, 11:57pm PDT
Yeah, but C4 and the dumb Claymores are used liberally in close quarters. by Worm 10/28/2006, 10:28am PDT
