| I didn't say I hated it, just that it wasn't an obstacle to enjoying the game and that's about all it did for me. That's the highest my standard for plots goes for 99% of games these days, as a result of a general bitterness towards the quality of their stories. Since I pay so little attention to them, eccentric stories that don't layer on the gay (ie ff7 disqualified for dress up scene alone) tend to get off pretty lightly. So it puts MGS3 roughly on par with Disgaea, if there is any point to bringing it up in a discussion about a totally unrelated game.
I'm sorry, but the dialogue is just not that great, most of the time. It fails to carry the Oscar Wilde Anime plot, but not entirely. I would say if you loved it so much that D2 will pose few problems in that respect. You'll be splitting your sides in no time. |
