| I guess. The story wasn't a big feature for me in the first. I was just glad it wasn't an active detriment to the game like most jrpg's. This one still lacks unskippable cutscenes the first time, which is annoying when forced to reload. The plot seems more gay but nothing ridiculous. The item world is a lot more complex but also a lot more rewarding. The dark assembly is much improved, and the little hometown is a lot more functional than the castle ever was. Powerlevelling is out of control, but in a good way. The game has an absurd level of poststory levels, judging from the strategy guide. I don't know if you would find them as unlikable as the first, but I suspect they may have fixed your main issues (given characters better than levelled ones). I avoided all of the other NI games since Disgaea, so my frame of reference is limited, but there you have it. | ||||
